2025 was a year of rapid change for workplaces. All indications are that the compliance landscape will continue to evolve in 2026. Join us for an interactive discussion of the State and Local Compliance Landscape.

 

During the session we will discuss the:

About Our Speaker: 

Christine Walters brings a unique perspective and a rare combination of more than 25 years of practical experience in management, human resources administration, employment law practice, and teaching. As the sole proprietor of FiveL Company, Ms. Walters offers an exceptional blend of expertise that sets her apart in the field of human resource consulting and employment law.

Ms. Walters has served as an expert witness, presented at conferences across the country, and testified before U.S. congressional and state legislative committees, as well as federal administrative agencies. She has been interviewed and quoted in various media outlets and is the author of "From Hello to Goodbye: Proactive Tips for Maintaining Positive Employee Relations," which has been a SHRMStore "Great 8" best-seller for eight consecutive years.

Throughout her career, Ms. Walters has been honored with numerous awards and accolades from organizations including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration (ASHHRA), and various chambers of commerce. She has also received multiple nominations for leadership awards in the legal field.

Ms. Walters founded FiveL Company in 1998 and has provided full-time human resources and employment law consulting since 2002. She previously served as an adjunct faculty member at Johns Hopkins University and has demonstrated her commitment to advancing the HR profession through volunteer leadership roles at the national, state, and local levels. Ms. Walters is licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland and currently serves as an Advisory Board member to VirgilHR.
